Spring 2025 Plant Sale Order Instructions
Thank you for your interest in native plants and supporting the Master Gardeners Association of the Central Rappahannock Area! 15% of the gross sales of pre-orders and day-of plant sales will be donated to MGACRA’s community education programs.
Please carefully read the information and instructions below.
The Spring 2025 Native Plant Sale Fundraiser will be held on May 4th, 2025, 1:00 pm to5:00 pm. The plant sale will feature plugs, quarts, and gallons of native perennials, grasses, and shrubs. There will be no cultivars, cultivated varieties, nativars, or any other non-wild type plants sold.
Every effort has been made to make sure the plants for sale are native to the counties within the MGACRA general area. To the best of our knowledge, no plants for sale have been treated with herbicide or pesticide and therefore plants may contain bugs in the soil!
Pre-Orders Are Highly Encouraged
Shrubs ranging in size from one gallon (#1 containers) to three gallon (#3 containers) as well as one gallon perennials are available for pre-order. Two and three gallon shrubs will not be available at the plant sale and must be pre-ordered.
Pre-ordered plants can be picked up at the Plant Sale, though free home delivery is available starting on March 1st. The home delivery option is highly encouraged (seriously, it’s so much easier for us!) as it will free up time and space on the day of the Plant Sale. Specific delivery dates cannot be selected, but you can request for your plants to come after a certain date. If you do not specify this, we will deliver your plants as they are ready starting March 1st.
The Plant Sale will focus more heavily on smaller size plants - plugs and quarts - and emphasizing plants that were not available for pre-order.
How to Order
To place a pre-order, fill out the on-line form below or send an email to [email protected]. Your email subject line should state: “MGACRA Pre Order” and your email must include the following information:
-Name, Phone Number, Email Address, Plant Order (size and quantity), Delivery Address (if having plants delivered), and deposit/payment method.
Once we have confirmed your order, you will be asked to make a 50% deposit. This can be made via Venmo (@nnkplants), Zelle (443-902-1902), or Check mailed to 190 Neptune Lane, Hague, VA.
Your order will not be considered confirmed until deposit is received. The remainder will be due when you receive your plants.
The cut-off date for Pre-Orders is April 15th.
Due to the volume of work during Plant Sale Season, we are not able to answer botanical or planting questions (ex: the difference between Spotted Bee Balm and Eastern Beebalm, is this plant tolerant of ______, etc.). If there are plants you don’t see on the pre-order list that you’d like to see at the plant sale day feel free to send your recommendations and we will do our best to accommodate.
