It’s time for the State Fair again! Every year, the Master Gardeners run a table at the State Fair in Doswell (13048 Meadow Farm Road, Doswell). Each local unit is invited to attend and volunteer. This year, we have received the October 1, 2:30 - 7 pm volunteer shift. Volunteers at the fair will staff the Master Gardener booth, provide information on the display materials (this year the booth focuses on pollinators) and answer questions. You will also receive a free ticket to the fair. If you’re interested in volunteering, please sign up here. 

• Something new this year is we have been asked if one EMG from our shift will give a presentation at the stage in the tent. It will be a 5-15 min presentation/demo on a subject of their choice. This is to help get more public engagement at the tent. If you’re interested in giving a short talk, or if you have general questions about the fair, please let me know!
