COVID-19 restrictions will likely still be in place in early 2021, but some lectures and events will be offered via You-tube or ZOOM technology. Our Spring Symposium, April 10, 2021, will be done via ZOOM. Registration will be online or by regular mail. More information will be emailed to MG members and any who wish to be on that mailing list. Call VCE office at 540-658-8000 and speak to Lisa Ellis to receive informational emails. Free Lance Star and MGACRA Facebook page will also be used to advertise the Symposium.

The next meeting of the Master Gardener Association of the Central Rappahannock Area will take place by Zoom on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 1 p.m.
Virginia Cooperative Extension Agent Guy Mussey will answer your gardening questions during the educational portion of the meeting. The event is free and open to the public. Register to attend by accessing this link:

The 5th Annual Seed Swap postponed: Based on the Governor's current guidance, the Central Rappahannock Master Gardeners have postponed the 5th Annual Seed Swap, originally scheduled for January 23, 2021. We hope to reschedule the event in March, at an outside location, and will let everyone know once a new plan has been approved.

Due t o COVID-19, there will only be a seed swap and a chance to ask questions. There will be plenty of seeds, so come anyway even if you've no seeds to share. Masks will be required.
This is a Virginia Cooperative Extension program put on by Extension Master Gardeners.
The event is sponsored by the Master Gardener Association of the Central Rappahannock Area (MGACRA) and is the
time that the Fredericksburg area has participated in National Seed Swap Day events.
Area residents are invited to bring seeds in labeled packets and other gardening-related items to exchange with others participating in the event. According to Karen Brace, a MGACRA member and co-chair of the event, “People are encouraged to bring seeds, plants, cuttings, garden tools, books, magazines, flower pots and other gardening-related items that they would like to exchange with others at no cost.
