Extension Master Gardener College is the State EMG Program’s cornerstone continuing education conference. It is an opportunity for EMGs from different parts of Virginia to come together in person and learn from a variety of experts. The conference features two keynote sessions and four general sessions attended by the entire group, 16 different concurrent session options, a day of optional tours, plus a variety of other events (including our milestone award ceremony and the annual VMGA meeting). Held at the Virginia Crossings Hotel & Conference Center in Glen Allen, Virginia.
Milestone discounts are available for EMGs who achieved a milestone in 2025, 1000 hours or more. EMGs must request the discount code by emailing [email protected] for milestones under 10K hours. Please allow for up to two business days for a response.
Discounts for those who achieved 10k hours by the end of 2025, EMGs who are also session speakers, EMG Agents or Coordinators, or EMGC Advisory Team members have already been sent. Please check your email if that applies to you.

We will have check-in for college on Thursday night and Friday am.
Three meals will be included in your registration price, but not all. Plan to have a few meals on your own during the conference weekend. There are many options near the conference hotel to drive to.
Lodging block rates will be available through the conference hotel and several other suitable hotels are nearby if you need lodging (the link to book at the conference hotel is below).
Tours will have a different format this year and will not have an additional cost or require pre-registration. Optional pre-conference tours will be held on Thursday, June 25 at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. You do not need to select these during registration. After registration, a list will be provided, and you may choose to attend as you drive in for College. Transportation is not provided.
Lightning Talks and the Project Poster Session will be back this year!
Virtual attendance includes six one-hour presentations (keynote and general sessions). No concurrent sessions or other activities are provided in this registration option. Virtual sessions will be recorded and available for later viewing for those registered.
Schedule at a glance:
Thursday, June 25: Optional pre-conference tours held in the Richmond area. On your own.
Friday, June 26: Concurrent sessions, opening keynote, general session, VMGA Meeting and included lunch and breaks.
Saturday, June 27: Concurrent sessions, general sessions, reception and Milestone Awards Dinner and included lunch and breaks
Sunday, June 28: General session and closing keynote
The conference hotel is located at 1000 Virginia Center Pkwy. Glen Allen, Virginia 23059 and is a Hilton property. There are additional hotels nearby, if you prefer.
